Q. Who performs the treatment?
A.Our teeth whitening procedure is always performed by a fully qualified Dentist and NOT by a beauty therapist or 'whitening technician'.
We cannot stress this enough, although teeth bleaching is perfectly safe in the right hands, there are risks involved by using a non-medically qualified therapist.
Ask yourself........Would you allow a Dentist to wax your legs? NO? Then why is it acceptable to have a BeautyTherapist perform a Dental procedure on you.
Q. Why would someone with otherwise good dental hygiene have discoloured teeth?
A.When we smoke, eat dark coloured foods ( even healthy ones like blueberries ), drink red wine, black coffee, cola etc. we slowly but surely absorb the stain into our teeth. This process effects everyone differently. Some people will get very little staining whilst others with a similar diet will develop heavy staining. (what can I say, life ain't fair!).
Now although brushing & a regular scale and polish from you hygienist will pretty much take care of surface staining, to get the gleaming smile you crave, there will probably come a time when you require a specialist whitening treatment.
Q. Why should I use your 1 hour power whitening as opposed to at home bleaching trays or whitening toothpastes?
A. Good question!
Firstly, store bought whitening products are very limited in their effectiveness.They do have small amounts of active ingredient in them, but not nearly enough to reach the deep rooted staining.
As for take home bleaching gum trays provided by some professionals, what can I say, they work V..E..R..Y S..L..O..W..L..Y ! That's great if you have a few hundred pounds to spare & want white teeth in a couple of months time !!
